Items Live presents the new issue of Items magazine, marking the launch of Dutch Design Double.
Items Live presents the new issue of Items magazine, marking the launch of Dutch Design Double. During this edition of Items Live, curators Ida van Zijl and Ingeborg de Roode discuss the importance of Rietveld, while Richard Hutten will show how he has been inspired by the old master. Rietveld‘s grandson Egbert Rietveld will also be there to demonstrate how modern the furniture of his grandfather still is.
What‘s more, Items Live will introduce ‘The Green Quote’, an initiative by Arjan Hilgersom, Autobahn and the BNO to make expertise on sustainable design – by and for designers – available, as well as to stimulate the exchange of knowledge. BNO‘s regular columnist, graphic designer Joost Overbeek, will once more be among the guests.

Dutch Design Double 2010
Under the umbrella Dutch Design Double, Amsterdam and Utrecht host throughout the whole month of September and October a great variety of internationally orientated design events. Both cities are joining forces to create a handpicked selection of design and new media projects.
