Saved by Droog
For the project Saved by Droog, the Droog Design Foundation challenged designers to create new products out of stools, handkerchiefs, dog baskets, wallets and other items seized during liquidations.
Every month around 500 business in the Netherlands go bankrupt. But where do their products go?
For the project Saved by Droog, the Droog Design Foundation challenged designers to create new products out of stools, handkerchiefs, dog baskets, wallets and other items seized during liquidations. During this year's Milan Design Week, a leading international furniture and interior design fair, the Centraal Museum acquired 19 products from this enormous collection. In doing so, the museum addresses the critical reflection on consumer society. This acquisition is an important addition to the Droog collection, already held by the Centraal Museum.
